Postcards from Britain

Six lucky winners (three teachers and three students) of the British Studies web pages ‘Identity’ competition in 2001 went to different parts of the United Kingdom on courses. During their stay they recorded things they noticed, looking at aspects of British culture through Polish eyes. These are some of their accounts, their ‘Postcards from Britain’.

Postcard from Nottingham – different but not strange?

Postcard from Bournemouth - a wonder that does not last but nine days

Postcard from Exeter - the open and friendly British!

Postcard from Chester – making museums come to life

Postcard from Cambridge – punting, a sport for all seasons
