34 Poles of different age and sex were asked what they associate with the Polish countryside. Here are the 10 most frequent answers.

  1. Limited access to education and culture.
  2. Government policy unfriendly to farmers.
  3. Unspoiled nature.
  4. Poverty and low incomes.
  5. Poorly developed agricultural technology.
  6. Livestock.
  7. Tourism, free time activities.
  8. Too heavy a workload for farmers.
  9. Folklore.
  10. Crops.
