ST DAVID'S DAY   (March 1st)

  • The church festival of St David, a 6th century monk/bishop, the patron saint of Wales. The day is regarded as the national day. Many Welshmen wear a flower called daffodil pinned to their jackets - this is a national symbol of Wales.
