Natural Heritage in Danger: Use or Abuse?

We have inherited clean streams, rivers and lakes, forests and meadows, valleys and mountains with a wide variety of plants and animals. But they are dying out because of human activity. Even protected areas such as national and regional parks seem to be in danger. The burning questions are:
  • Are national parks everybody’s heritage?
  • Do they belong to us or to the generations to come?
  • Should we take advantage of them as much as possible or preserve them?
  • Is eco-tourism the answer for the future?
  • Is the natural heritage endangered by the expansion of eco-tourism?
