Fears and Hopes - a webquest |

Which of the countries are “new members” and which “old members” of the EU? What is the attitude of the two “old member states” towards the “new member state”? To get a better understanding read the caption below the cartoon.

Visit the site: http://www.karikatur-cartoon.de/boureau/eng_boureau64_eu.htm, look at some more cartoons and decide whether the attitude among the “new and old” member states changes in perspective to the above one. TASKYou are part of an international group of reporters taking part in a project regarding “New Europeans”. You have been asked to investigate four of the ten new member states of the EU and to report on the problems they anticipated, as well as their expectations before and after the accession.There are steps 6 to the webquest:
